As we know, during her career Sandra has been cooperating with many various bands. We think that's it's awesome that she likes all genres of music and doesn't limit herself!

During the 90s, the grunge period was at its best and most people were crazy about Nirvana and other similar bands. Sandra must have noticed that too.
Young people started to rebel against everything that adults said - school, lifestyle, etc.

When Sandra started her journey with music, she felt passion and chemistry - she said it's like falling in love. She knew that this must be her path.
First of all, she considered studying Art and Design, but she decided to give it up for music. To us, this must be the most fortunate choice she could've made. Yeah! She's definitely found her "right lane" there :)

She started with an underground band with her friends and people from school - jammed on parties and went to auditions. Afterwards, she met the guys from Guano Apes - who would become her band-mates for many years to come. More information on GA can be found in the Guano Apes section of this website.

Through the years, various artists asked her about doing cooperational projects. The first one was Saprize - a relatively popular psycho-rap and crossover group from Germany. In 1995 they recorded their third album "28203", the title being the postal ZIP code of their barrio, the "Viertel" in Bremen. The record also features (that's a surprise!) the powerful voice of Sandra Nasic!

Summary

The second band to ask for a project with Sandra was a Finnish group of cellists - Apocalyptica. They had a parallel tour with Guano Apes. After the concert the leader of Apocalyptica, Eicca Toppinen asked Sandra for help. She agreed and they started working on a song, exchanging music files through emails. The result of that cooperation was "Path vol. II".

They met again during the making of their videoclip. According to Sandra, the weather was extremely cold at four o'clock in the morning during the shoot, but nevertheless the resulting video is great.

The album containing "Path vol.II" ("The Cult") was released in 2001.

Third co-op project was with DJ Tomekk (popular in Germany) and Ice-T. Just like with the previous co-op, they sent all files to each other via Internet. Ice-T recorded in USA, while Sandra did her work in Germany.
Still, Miss Nasic wasn't exactly enraptured with that project - and it's hardly surprising. For instance, during the making of a video clip for this song, Ice-T showed his wife's naked breasts to the camera (well, shoved them right at the camera to be more precise...). Sandra said she doesn't want to be involved in it in any way. She stated that her condition for appearing in that video was that she would not be shown in the same shot with the rest of the artists.

"Beat of Life" was recorded in 2003.

The next project was brought to life when Sandra moved to Berlin. It is said that there are roughly fifty parties and gigs every night in Berlin, ranging from punk and metal to electro. Sandra was bound to let herself emerge in this variety of sounds. For the first time she was drawn into the tones and beats of the so-called electro music. She happened to meet T.Raumschmiere - a German drummer and leader of his punk band called The Crack Whore Society, but a DJ at the same time. Sandra was very surprised when he proposed her a co-op. She liked his music and agreed to work with him, resulting in recording of their song - A Very Loud Lullaby.

The video for this song was produced by Sharon Berkal from Berlin. Of course most Sandra's fans were a little bit shocked when they first saw Sandra in such role - a "bad girl" behaving in a very sexy way (which, by the way, she is exceedingly good at... :D). We could probably quite safely assume that most people saw this clip and went "Oh my god, is that Sandra? With such moves, such body, such costume..." :)
Sandra had this idea to look like Madonna in her clip "Justify My Love" - a not-so-much dressed (:D) girl in a dirty, terrible hotel. "I play a woman punishing a man" - Sandra said in an interview - "who is doing a very boring job every day and he sees a mirage, which is punishing him."

Apparently Sandra liked this electro style, because her next project was with Tom Novy - a German DJ from Monachium, who creates house, trance and progressive house music.
Sandra and Novy recorded a new house track called My City Is My Lab. Sandra felt very comfortable in the studio, which could be noticed while listening to the track. They harmonized perfectly well. The resulting song is full of that musical chemistry and passion Sandra most definitely has within her soul.

On 19th August 2009, Sandra Nasic performed with the Blue Man Group in the Kulturstadion as a part of a festival held as a celebration of the World Athletics Championship taking place in Berlin. The two songs Sandra sang with Blue Man Group were titled "Up To The Roof" and "I Feel Love".

This was the last cooperation so far. What will come next - we'll see!
